31/8-4/9
It’s been really nice coming back to Vilde after the holiday!
The last days we’ve been removing all the things downstairs and cleaned the whole area. It was a lot of work but now it’s done.
We’ve bought a welding machine and Mike has attached the missing piece on the wall.
Tomorrow the guys from Foam King are coming here to do the insulation. We’re really excited to see how it works!

5/9-7/9
Now Vilde is insulated!
The guys from Foam King came in the morning to prepare everything. We had talked to the people at 24 Storage next to us and asked if they could park the insulation-truck inside their gates. That way we could take the hose over our neighbours shed and be able to reach all the way to the stern without any problems.
Unfortunalely the machine didn’t work properly the first day so he could only do the stern.
On Tuesday it worked a lot better. After adding foam in some places he could continue with the rest. They finished everything Wednesday morning and now Vilde is nice and warm!
Me and Mike went and bought some more floor and started to take things down again.
We also put up a hammock in the stern. It was some really warm and sunny days while they were doing the insulation so we could relax and do some work in the sun!

8/9-12/9
On Thursday me and Mike started to prepare a clothing rack in the big bedroom. I spray painted two rods from the old railing that we wanted to use as racks but then we decided to buy one long one instead. We also bought two chest of drawers for our clothes. It’s so much better organized now than to have everything in moving boxes…

Mike’s dad arrived on Friday and left on Monday. It’s been really nice to have him here!
We bought two fishing rods and Mike and Björn have worked hard to catch our dinner. Luckily we had bought some meat for the BBQ just in case…
Carpenter as he is, of course he wanted to build something. Him and Mike have built a door between the workshop and the stern. The plan is to use that area as a storage room for now. They have also tightened the wire holding the boat to the jetty.
Mike tried the inflatable canoe that we got with the boat. We don’t have a paddle so he used the snow shovel instead. It looked a bit wobbly but he made it out quite far and even managed to fish a bit and have a beer 🙂
We also had a visit from Lasse and Eva-Lena. They came with their boat to have a look at Vilde.
